Brand Identity = Church Strategy
Branding language can be confusing, especially in a church context. Defining our terms helps to think about this with clarity. BRAND is the gut-level perception other people have about your church. BRANDING is the collection of actions that shape that perception over time — your words, visuals, ministries, and how you show up in the life of your community. BRAND IDENTITY is the strategy that earns an intentional perception for your church. It’s the shared filter that discerns ideas, creates trust and builds relationships.

The ChurchBrand System is composed of two parts: Brand Identity Strategy and Visual Identity Kit.All of our clients start with Brand Identity Strategy. Some decide to add-on the Visual Identity Kit, finding it a logical expression of the brand strategy.
Brand Identity Strategy
Working with key stakeholders, we walk the client through a series of exercises and discussions to collectively establish an internal identity for the church that is bigger than any one individual’s opinion and not dictated by the loudest voice in the room.

Facilitation Process:
There are two options for facilitation; remote or onsite.Remote facilitation occurs on a zoom call, over the course of two 4 hour sessions scheduled with the client at the point of purchase.Onsite facilitation takes place during a single eight-hour day at the client’s office and is scheduled with the client at the point of purchase. The onsite option may incur additional charges for travel, lodging, and incidentals.
Timeline:
The Brand Identity and Strategy Guide is usually delivered 3-4 weeks after the date of the Facilitation Process.
Visual Identity Kit
After the Brand Identity Strategy Guide is finished, we enter the creative process of establishing all the necessary logos and supporting visuals to consistently express the brand identity at a high-level.

Design Process:
Starting with your Brand Identity Strategy Guide as the bullseye, we ensure your logo is a clear expression of who you are. We then present three mood boards, develop sketches and concepts based on your chosen direction, and refine the final mark. You’ll receive the finalized logo, wordmark, and supporting visual elements—delivered in ready-to-use formats for print and digital.
Timeline:
After the Brand Identity Strategy is complete, the design process usually takes 2-3 weeks from start to final deliverables.
